So, I'm going to shave my head. 15th of May at The Plasterers Arms, in front of my friends and family. And any customers who are there :-)

I  really want to raise money for a cause that is mega close to my heart, but majorly underfunded. I have struggled with depression for many, many years now and still do. Likewise a number if close friends and family have been in or still are struggling too. My experience is that the NHS mental health service is severly lacking, if anything my time with them only served to increase my anxiety.

Mental health is often overlooked in terms of funding, as it is not considered a pressing medical issue. This is 100% untrue, the UKs ever increasing suicide rates are testament to that.

So I want to do something to help those out there who don't have the funds to find help other that the NHS, or who don't know that there is alternative help out there or how to access it. I know it is a drop in the ocean, but it all helps! I will do what I can to support organisations that provide help and support to anyone experiencing mental health issues, as the work they do truly does save lives.

Two of my colleagues have also decided to help but shaving various body hair on the condition that if we raise £1500 a proportion of the donations go to cancer research. So you have the opportunity to help two fantastic causes with your lovely donations.
