Severn Hospice's Sunrise on Snowdon · 14 September 2019 ·

Severn Hospice provides specialist care and emotional support for families in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales living with an incurable illness. All our care is provided for free, but it is not without cost - we have to raise £2 for every £3 we spend. It's because you care that we can.

Story

At 2am on September 14th 2019 a group of 8 friends will set off on a Snowdon at Sunrise walk arranged by Breese Adventures.

The team are:  Paola Armstrong, Jo Carswell, Emma Churm, Jo Eley, Lucy Fletcher, Maria Grainger, Sam Hayward and Andrea Hughes.

We aim to reach the summit of Snowdon in time to watch the sunrise and the reason we are doing this is to raise money for Severn Hospice in memory of our dear friend Kristin Carey, who sadly lost her battle to cancer in February this year.

Kris was full of life, had a real sense of adventure and loved walking Snowdon.  She is greatly missed by her close friends and family – especially her husband and 3 children.

We all felt this would be a fitting way to honour her memory and at the same time, raise money for Severn Hospice – who did an exceptional job of taking care of her in her last few days.

The team would like to thank you for reading this and greatly appreciate ANY donation given.

A heartfelt THANK YOU.

Kind regards,

Team Kris
