Lukes Nukes Mud Run · 18 May 2019 ·

St. Luke’s Hospice provides compassionate care for people with life limiting, palliative and end of life care needs. The charity delivers individualised care to ensure dignity and to empower people to make the choices they want, from the moment they are diagnosed.

Story

In December 2018 our family received a call we were not expecting. Our beautiful Nanny Reney had left us. Despite lots of problems over the years she had been such a fighter and like may times before we expected this little stint in Hospital would be short and she would be back in her home soon. She fought so hard but little did we know the bastard 'sepsis' was about to take her from us. Not many people are aware of sepsis, how it works and just how dangerous it was. She had fought it once before but this time it came back with a revengence.

Nanny Reney had a beautiful soul. She cared so much about everyone else and never about herself. She never actually stepped foot in the Hospice or received any of their services but that didn't stop her from supporting them with regular donations and taking part in In Memory Campaigns for Grandad. She loved the Hospice and she would have been so pleased to know all the donations from her funeral totalled to £220 for the Hospice.

Myself, Aaron, Josh and Hollie will all be completing the mud run in Nans memory but we need your help to meet our target!! Please please please help us get to the £400 mark and make this mud run for her, our shining star 'Nanny Reney'.
