This year we will be undertaking a number of challenges and organising fundraising to help with the research of Diabetes.

Following our successful running of London Marathon in 2018 in the heatwave, Jo has secured a charity place for London Marathon 2020 to give it another go.
Ali has a place to run Manchester Marathon in April and will be joining the Diabetes cheer team to encourage Jo along the way in London.
We will also be doing some smaller challenges along the way in preparation for the big ones!

Our teenage niece, Lily, was unfortunately diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2018. This condition is life changing and has had a massive impact on her and her family’s day to day life. We are so proud of how she has coped with the condition and want to do our bit to help. Raising funds for research into this condition has become even more important to us as a result of her diagnosis.

Jo’s Dad has also had Type 2 Diabetes for some years.

Since Ali joined the Diabetes UK team in 2016 for London Marathon, we have met and befriended some absolute legends, who continue to amaze and inspire us by defying the rules that Diabetes tries to set. Many of the team are Type 1 diabetics and have the added complication of training whilst managing blood sugars. They truly are incredible and an absolute inspiration to us.

Sponsoring us will help the charity to understand more about the condition and work towards finding a cure.  Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

We also hope to get corporate matching so making anything you donate go much further.

Thanks for your Support
