Sands is the charity speaking up about pregnancy and baby loss, saving babies’ lives and supporting bereaved families. Together, we are saving babies’ lives and improving maternity safety and bereavement care through research, training and campaigning.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. A team of us are running the Baker Hughes 10K in May to raise funds for Sands in memory of all babies who have died.

Sands (stillbirth and neonatal death charity) supports bereaved families across the UK. Aberdeen Sands is run by and for bereaved parents and families within Aberdeen and offers bereaved families the chance to meet others, gain support and share their experiences following a loss.  The small and dedicated team of trained volunteer befrienders at Aberdeen Sands provide vital emotional support, as well as practical help and information. To find out more about the group please visit
http://www.aberdeen-sands.org.

Your kind donations will help Sands continue to provide free bereavement support services to families, including Family Support packs and memory boxes to families in Aberdeen and across Scotland. Donations will contribute towards the running costs of Aberdeen Sands including local support meetings and helpline.

The money you contribute will also help provide bereavement care training programme for health professionals across Scotland including those within Aberdeen.  You will be helping to make sure every parent whose baby has died receives equally excellent bereavement care wherever they are in the UK.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you in advance for your support.
