Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Team Selbie are taking part in a Duathlon this Saturday which involves us all running a 5k and cycling 20k. Even Craig is going to run this year.....well for some of it!

The main reason for taking part is to support our family friends The Cowies. Adam is age 10 and was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 6. It is a daily battle to keep his blood glucose levels steady which allows him to maintain a normal active life. We have spent a lot of time with Adam over the years and have seen first hand the struggles he has had to overcome, which he does amazingly well with his brilliant positive attitude.  No child or person should have to go through the constant pricks of needles and other not so nice ailments that he and others have to endure in order to survive. Taking part in this triathlon  is our way to help support Adam & family and try and raise funds so that one day a cure can be found.
