Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Team Uncaged JustGiving page

Having been a type 1 diabetic for 10 years & my eldest daughter diagnosed within the past 18 months, I (David Stevens) am acutely aware of the need to exercise as part of a well being regime which includes regular trips to my local gym / health club. Having always been prepared to push the boundaries, friends at the gym suggested we enter a team in to the Spartan Beast which is a 13+ mile obstacle and endurance race which I feel is going to test every boundary that has ever been set and some! Having entered the race I thought it would be a great idea to raise some funds for Diabetes UK and support their goal to one day soon eradicate the condition completely. Any donation large or small will help that is for sure.

Diabetes UK not only help with the practical, mental and emotional aspects of diabetes management, they are also at the forefront of diabetes research. Diabetes UK has been a tremendous help to not only myself and my daughter but to our entire family.
