Story
I've been thinking recently about how we take for granted the little things in life, like having my own hair. I know that it I cut my hair it'll grow back and that I don't have to worry about bald patches or my hair falling out and never growing back.
Hair is a way for people to express themselves, show their identity and is a way to boost self-esteem and self-confidence. Children have enough to worry about as they're growing up and then they get an illness thrown at them and they have so much more to deal with than what they should have to.
By donating my hair I hope to remove one of those issues that a child has to deal with. The Little Princess Trust donate wigs to children who are suffering so they can be themselves in a way that's been taken from them.
In February I will be cutting off my hair and donating it to the Little Princess Trust. They need between £350-£500 to make one wig so I hope to raise a little more than that so they can use the hair I'll be donating.
