PUSHING THE PEDALS FROM LONDON TO BRIGHTON

So I've decided to write a little message explaining why I'm raising money for cancer research. Not by my own will may I add, but those funny beans at work. To be honest I forgot and then it started to become pointless to update my profile as time went on. Apparently my picture and blog/message Is only worth £5.... Thanks you guys! Ha (hint of sarcasm lol)

Here it goes...

In 2009 I sadly lost two very close people to cancer. Before then I only knew one person who had experienced the full force of the disease. In early 2006 my very close friend lost her mum whilst studying to complete her degree at Nottingham Trent University. Even though I was sad and felt her pain I secretly wished that I would never experience such sadness.

I never on God's earth thought I would lose anyone to cancer (shows my ignorance) but I did. My step dad, whom I've lived with all my life and a very close friend of mine’s mother; the most painful part was losing two people in such a short period of time.

I slowly learnt that I needed to celebrate knowing them and the joy and love they left behind; never forgetting them as individuals by letting their memories live on...

.... Which lead me to this crazy bike ride I've signed up to. *deep sigh* I'm starting to wonder why I didn't just do a 3k run... But it’s too late you ponder I've got a 52 mile cycle in sight.
