We raise awareness/ offer support to improve the lives of PMP patients

Story

We are a close group of friends that have known each other since school. We wanted to start a fitness challenge to lose 10% of our body weight starting on the first of January 2019. We will self regulate this challenge with weekly weigh ins and will update on this page as to our progress.

Several of the group are looking at linking other challenges as a result including triathlons, marathons and Guinness World Records.

The group includes Paul Morgan, David Morgan, Scott Kirtlan, Paul Blinkhorn, Barry Larvin, Phil Telfer, Chris Telfer, Mark Nichol, Michael Porter, Simon Harris and Ian Ashdown-Nichol.

We have chosen to support PMP (pseudomyxoma peritonei ) because Paul Morgan's wife Georgina is currently battling with this rare form of cancer. Monies raised will help with research, awareness and support.

Pseudomyxoma Survivor is a non-profit organization, run by patients and caregivers. We have a thriving support community supporting anyone whose life has been touched by pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP) as well as appendix cancer and other peritoneal surface malignancies. We’re completely dependent on voluntary donations. Our patron is Sean Hepburn Ferrer. Sean’s mother, Audrey Hepburn, passed away shortly after being diagnosed with PMP.

Please show your support and leave us messages of encouragement. We hope to achieve our weight lose challenge in six months time but as stated before, I imagine this will be the first in a series of personal and group challenges to help the cause
