At the end of this is a poem written by someone close to us who suffers mental health problems.
It packs one hell of a punch!!

😢 The following poem is from a person currently struggling with mental health problems;
Feeling like a prisoner,
Locked in a cell.
A lonely tortured empty soul,
Destined for hell!!
Wondering when I’d next fail,
And bring along more pain.
What’s the point of existing,
When there’s nothing left to gain??
It’s dark where my mind lays,
The brain just won’t switch off.
Remembering the bad times,
Thinking of everything I have lost!!
People think you’re after pity,
That you need to just wake up.
But they don’t understand the loneliness,
How it’s easier to give up!!
The tears they do flow freely,
Am I seriously insane?
I fight to try and beat it,
But then darkness descends again.
Everyone says I’ll get past it,
But what would they know?
They don’t feel the inner pain I do,
They don’t see how low I go.
Like a piranha it rips your flesh away,
The dark thoughts tear away at your soul.
I can’t stay afloat, I’m sinking,
Back into that deep hellish hole.
The day will come when he/she leaves me,
Takes the children and starts anew.
And when that time finally gets here,
I will be free to leave this world too 💔
