Story

These last few years have been full of unknowns for us all. Some of us lost loved ones, some of us were shielding for a year or more, some of us have been ill ourselves. The impact of Covid on charities and support groups has been huge, and the loss of fundraising opportunities has had a huge negative impact. Summer would usually be full of activities, fairs and fundraising. Yet even 2 years after the start of the pandemic, we are seeing a huge reduction in events and opportunities. Every penny raised through our Great North Run campaign will spur us on, allowing us to continue to provide support to those living with Myotonic Dystrophy, their friends and loved ones, raise awareness, facilitate research and advocate for our community for improved health and social care. Thank you for your support.
