SpecialEffect enable fun, inclusion, independence and a better quality of life for physically disabled people across the world through the inspirational use of adaptive technology.

Story

Hello,

In recent weeks, I have begun my metamorphosis from human to MAMIL (or MAWIL?). More often than not, I can now be seen in head-to-toe lycra, attempting to become one with my new road bike.

This is all because I, along with 40 co-riders from King, will embark on a 350km cycle in the insane Italian heat in July. With 1 training ride from London to Cambridge behind me, I can assure you that it's not going to be easy breezy.

This is all to raise money and awareness for the fabulous charity we support at work: SpecialEffect.

Having physical disabilities often means that you don't get to partake in a lot of things that we take for granted - for example playing (video) games. SpecialEffect are a hugely impactful charity that help people (and especially young people) with disabilities to bridge that gap, bringing them together with their families and friends. They also have a profoundly positive impact on therapy, confidence and rehabilitation.

I am more than willing to embrace sunstrokes, saddle rash, dehydration, leg cramps for SpecialEffect. Please show your support by donating generously.

THANK YOU!
