In July last year, Dad, Father-in-Law (F-I-L), Uncle Terry, Terry, passed away. He suffered from crippling pain with arthritis for the last couple of years of his life and had many operations to try to ease the pain. Arthritis stopped him from being able to do many of the things that he always enjoyed - playing with his grandchildren, working, travelling, eating out, gardening, driving, working on the house, walking, swimming, even just spending time with others. The list is endless, and arthritis is horrible because it stops someone from being able to do something as simple as just be themselves.

On 6th July this year (his anniversary weekend), we're planning on doing a marathon walk to raise money and awareness for Versus Arthritis. We're going to walk a route that Dad, F-I-L, Uncle Terry, Terry, loved and did parts of many times when we were younger and he was able to. We're going to walk the length of the Tissington Trail (26 miles return walk) in Dad's, F-I-L's, Uncle Terry's beloved Derbyshire. We're all relatively fit and pain free thankfully, but none of us have walked this distance before, so we'd appreciate any support that you can give towards this cause.
