We all know I'm a sucker for a challenge, so of course I jumped at the chance to get in the boxing ring for my first ever fight, as part of Ladies Ultra White Collar Boxing in Brighton. 

I'm more than half way through 8 weeks training, but I've missed a substantial chunk of sessions due to the small matter of getting married and getting fat on honeymoon so a bit of catching up to do!

I've done a bit of boxercise before but never proper boxing so am excited/terrified in equal measures about what the next few weeks will bring. Training's been hard and I've got a LOT to work on in terms of technique but I'm gonna give it my all in the ring and (hopefully) come out with my nose still intact!  

Fight night is a black tie event on Sunday October 5th at the Grand Hotel, Brighton so should be a brilliant atmosphere and afterparty. It'd be wicked to have a crew of cheerleaders so if you fancy coming to cheer/laugh at me tickets are £20pp - let me know if you want one :)

All donations go directly to Cancer Research, raising money to help beat a disease we've all been affected by in one way or another. I lost my amazing Granddad and mother-in-law to it and would love to give it a knock-out punch where it hurts.
