WaterAid is an international not-for-profit, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation. Only by tackling these three essentials in ways that last can people change their lives for good.

Story

We are taking part in the annual one mile raft race organised by Thames Water! Up to 40 themed rafts will battle it out on the river Thames in this annual legendary event. Each team will design, build and decorate their raft and wear fancy dress based around the theme of the Annual Raft Race's 21st birthday.

Since 2016, Thames Water has been working together with WaterAid to transform lives in two towns in Malawi – the world’s poorest country. Currently in Malawi, 10 million people have no safe place to go to the toilet and 1.7 million people have no access to safe clean water.

WaterAid enables the world’s poorest people to gain access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education. These basic human rights underpin heath, education and livelihoods and form the first, essential step in overcoming poverty.

Please dig deep and sponsor us online, it’s secure and easy! And don’t forget, the team raising and collecting the most sponsorship money will win a fabulous prize
