Law family fundraising for CICRA 2020-25

Fundraising for CICRA · 15 April 2020
Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page! Since 2020 we have raised over £1000 a year to support CICRA. In January this year, my son and I ran a Virtual Marathon and raised £400 for CICRA. This meant running 25 runs of over a mile during January! Thank you to everyone who sponsored us.
On 10-11th May 2025 we’ll be holding our annual plant sale. Previous years have been successful thanks to huge support from our community, friends and family… and we hope that this year will be no different given everyone’s generosity, our commitment to this key charity and the continued need to research Crohn’s and Colitis, particularly the devastating effects it can have on children.

As a family we have benefited from Crohn's in Childhood Research Association (CICRA) since our son was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 2018. CICRA support research, provide information for families and provide national events that allow for families to network and to meet consultants and academics undertaking groundbreaking research. Their array of freely available resources allow families and children's teachers to understand a child's symptoms and side effects of the drugs they may be taking.
There is currently no cure for Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, including Crohn's.
In 2020, we held a plant sale from the safety of our front garden during the first lock down. In 2021 we teamed up with 5 other houses in Quainton to open up our gardens and sell plants. With our wonderful village community, we raised >£800 despite the weather and a further £170 in plant sales! (We note most donations as offline donations to this page so the entire total is recorded.)
It then followed that in 2022, 2023 and 2024 we raised a further £4,200 in plant sales, donations, recycling (we are a printer cartridge recycling centre), ebay sales and other initiatives, which we continue today.
If you can help, it will benefit a truly terrific charity undertaking vital work! Thank you.
