Story

Sunday 12th June sees the second ‘Bill Burr Commemorative Cycle Ride’ which is being held in conjunction with the Banchory River Festival.

The ride is going to be a leisurely 14 mile circular route on quiet tarmac roads and along the Deeside Way starting from Raemoir Garden Centre and returning to the Guide Hut, Bellfield Park in Banchory. The event is in the morning and is organised by the Rotary Club of Banchory-Ternan as memorial to former club member and past president Bill Burr who sadly died of cancer in November 2014. We are raising funds for UCAN and you can read all about the charity in the tag to the right.

There is a registration fee of £5 per cyclist but it is hoped that people will make a further donation to UCAN. Entry is open to all cyclists over 12 years of age. Full instructions and a route-map will be issued to all participants after registration and payment. Alternatively, simply turn up on the day between 09.00H and 10.00H.
