Even though none of us are runners, we have all decided to take part in the Manchester 10k this year to raise money for Mermaids.

Mermaids is a charity which means the world to us who support transgender and gender variant children, young people and their families. The incredible work they do reduces suicidality and self-harm in the young people who contact Mermaids and also reduces isolation and loneliness for parents and young people dealing with gender issues.

We have come across Mermaids following our amazing Teddie transitioning and have seen first-hand the wonderful support they offer. There is zero support out there for families with children who have gender dysphoria and without Mermaids, we as a family would have had literally no where to turn for help and advice.
