Story

‘Conwy, our first child, was a glorious and happy little chap. He lit up the place wherever he went. One or two of our friends said Conwy was part of the reason they decided to start a family.’

Simon Martyn, dad of Conwy

Conwy drowned when he was three years old in a situation that could not have been envisaged. Drowning accidents do not occur as a result of parents failing to take care. They happen because children between two and four years old are uniquely vulnerable. They explore in ways that parents never expect that they will. Worldwide, drowning is the leading cause of accidental death in children aged one to four.

This short film is about preventing future tragedies. We want as many people as possible to know about the dangers of water for young children.

We need your help to raise the money to make this film possible and to provide a grief support service for parents. Every pound that you donate will be matched by the Angus Lawson Memorial Trust (ALMT) up to £12,500, making your donation twice as valuable. Please don’t forget to tick the Gift Aid box so ALMT can claim up to an extra 25%. Thank you.
