Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The MND Association were amazingly supportive when my mum was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. Within weeks of diagnosis mum passed away. Just a few years ago my cousin, Sam, was also diagnosed with a form of MND.
It can affect anyone. It can strike at any age, lifestyle or fitness. It is not an hereditary condition and incredibly, today scientists and doctors still don't understand what causes MND and there is no cure.
The MND Association are a charity that support families affected by MND and fund research into understanding MND and finding a cure.
They need your support.
“Finding supporters for a specialist charity like ours is tough. And it’s even tougher in the current economic climate as the NHS and social services are making huge across-the-board cuts. Any support you are able to give us today will help ensure the care and support of people living with MND both now and in the future.”
Dr Jean Waters, Trustee of the MND Association.
