For the last few years I have been decorating my house with Halloween decorations. Each year I try to make it bigger and better as my friends and family tell me how much they like it... and then strangers passing by starting to tell me how much they look forward it too! it is great to see the kids faces when they come past (many parents telling me how they are forced to walk/drive that past almost every day!).

This year I have decided to use the opportunity to raise money for CANCER RESEARCH UK, after my family, friends and passers by asked whether I was doing it for charity and if they could donate. I have chosen Cancer Research UK as this is a charity close to mine and my families heart. Seeing the joy everyone gets from the decorations is amazing, and the thought that a charity can benefit also is even better!

I usually put the decorations up the week before Halloween however this year I started to put them up at the start of October so I could raise money for the whole of October. Sadly between 2am and 9am on 5th October 2014 someone took it upon themselves to damage, break and steal all of the decorations I had put out. I am humbled by the support of the local community and I don't want to let the lowlife that did this win... the decorations will be even better and I want to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research to show them that their actions will not stop us!
