My name is Jason, although some of you may know by other online monikers, and I am planning to raise as much money as I can for the British Heart Foundation to put towards saving and improving lives.

Those of you who have known me for a while will know that I have not had my glorious mane of hair any shorter than my shoulders in about seven years, so it is with great reluctance that I make this pledge to SHAVE MOST OF IT OFF in order to raise the sponsorship funds required to help the BHF continue their great work.

If I can raise at least £250.00 (although I hope to raise much more than that) then on Hallowe'en this year (31 October 2011) I will base my costume on Robert De Niro's iconic character, from the 1976 film Taxi Driver, including shaving off all of my hair apart from a short, thin mohawk down the centre of my now bare scalp! I will post photos (and hopefully a video) of the sacrifice online.

So please donate, whether to help out a great cause or simply because you want to see my embarrassing attempts to grow it back in November! Remember, even a small amount will help if you can't afford a large donation.

The British Heart Foundation is a great charity helping give advice and support to those affected by heart problems as well as investing in research to help prevent and cure numerous illnesses.
