Story

James, President (Chair of the Board) for Doctors of the World UK, is teaming up with Rich a surgeon of hands, and John a long time Tour de France sofa spectator. All three are prepared to don Lycra and go beyond the capacity of their creaking middle aged bodies to take on "The Struggle"- an epic one day cycle challenge in the Yorkshire Moors for Doctors of the World. The struggle is described as one of the UK's hardest sportives comprising 180km and over 10,000 feet of climbing on the exposed moors, and featuring infamous climbs including Glaisedale Horror and Rosedale Chimney...

‘Why why why?’ you may ask would they attempt such folly? Well…

Doctors of the World is an amazing charity supporting excluded people to access healthcare both in the UK and internationally. DOTW teams continue the struggle everyday advocating for people's rights, providing medical care and practical support in the UK and abroad including in crisis zones such as Ukraine.
