Hello and thank you for visiting Birdman's page.

John Allin - otherwise known as Birdman - is a much loved and hugely  popular local character among the drinkers of Plymouth especially on the Barbican and in particular The Dolphin Pub. A successful campaign saw him on the stage with others involved in switching on the Christmas Lights.

Birdman was very keen to utilise this opportunity to raise money for charity and he was very clear that St Luke's Hospice was his preferred choice. Some members of the Appreciation Society also expressed a liking for the idea of having a special tee shirt to wear which we organised with the help and co-operation of The T Shirt & Sweatshirt Printing Company based in Plymouth and we added £2 to each tee for the sold purpose of raising money for the charity so for every one we sell £2 will be donated to St Luke's.

We have already raised £200 but hope to spread this out now for the rest of the year and hope that everyone will get involved to help raise a few thousand in Birdman's name. 

The Bucket Challenge!!

There is now a collection bucket in The Dolphin you can donate loose change into - THE BUCKET CHALLENGE - if he's singing then it's only fair that coins go in the bucket!!

BirdFest 2016!

Later in the summer we will be holding THE BIRDFEST 2016!! Yes, really...a fundraiser in The Dolphin pub inviting local singers to donate a half hour set and Birdman himself will of course be partaking in the sing songs, it can only be a total riot and let's raise tons of money in this lovely man's name.
