Hello everyone and thank you for stopping by :o)
I will be Swimming a mile for the Great North Swim on 12th Sept. Decided to have a change from walking so decided to go and drown myself instead. Its been a while since my last little adventure and as its my first swimming challenge I though id take it easy with a mile in Lake Windermere with a few hundred other people.
I have chosen Rainbow Trust as its for Children with terminal/long term illnesses, some of what money is used for is below
£100 pays for five visits to a child in hospital
£500 keeps our 24 hour telephone helpline running for a month
£800 pays for 40 hours of care from a Family Support Worker
£1,500 pays for a family to stay at a respite home for four days
I don't have any limits to what I need to raise as I have paid for this myself but would like to raise as much as possible so anything you can give would be greatly appreciated.
As much as I wanted to get this done at a respectable speed, I think right now ill be just happy to finish it :o)
