Hello all!

I am running the 2019 London Marathon as part of my bid to run all six of the Marathon Majors (London, New York, Boston, Chicago, Berlin, Tokyo) - I've done other runs, including a half marathon, but London will my first full marathon!

I am running for Crimestoppers as I have come across far too many occasions where people who have been the victims and witnesses of crime want to tell police what they know but are afraid to do so for fear of repercussions. I have seen the appalling effect that crime has on people, not just people I work with but in my own family as well. People should feel confident and comfortable in reporting incidents to the police and all support should be afforded to victims and witnesses to help them through the process of providing information to the authorities and giving evidence at court.

I know, in light of ongoing government cuts and the closure of police buildings across the country, how important funding is to the prevention of crime and helping victims,
witnesses and even suspects, which is why I am so eager to raise money for Crimestoppers.
