Story

Hi everyone thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.

On June 6th, I will be braving the lycra onesie as myself and many others will be competing in the Cotswolds Half Ironman 70.3 for the Beer Harris Memorial Trust. I have teamed up with Emily Standen (https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Emily-Standen3) for the event who will be swimming 1.9km in open water before passing the baton onto me for a 90km cycle and 21km run.

BHMT was created in memory of a friend from university, Joe Harris, and his uncle Dominic Beer. Joe was a massive part of the University's Lacrosse Club which became an important part of my life once Joe convinced me to join. Even though we met through lacrosse, Joe was also a triathlete (I've learnt just how good since trying to train for this event) so it seemed fitting to take part in this event.

BHMT itself "fundraise to support community projects, raise awareness and facilitate research in order to promote improved mental health in two groups of people: adults suffering from Severe and Enduring Mental Illness and young adults". This is a cause I believe everyone can relate to and their work is truly deserving of support.

Thank you so much for your support of this fantastic cause. If you're able to donate it would mean so much both personally and to BHMT.

Cheers,

Thomas
