We live in the middle of the amazing village of Bromley Cross on the outskirts of Bolton with our son Thomas Brown who has Cerebral Palsy, Hydrocephalus, Epilepsy, Cortical Visual Impairment alongside multiple sensory processing delays 

Two and half years after we moved out to start adapting our home to suit Thomas's long term caring needs, on Sunday 4th June we moved back home for good!

Although the house is not quite finished yet , with all his specialist equipment in place, looking after Thomas is so much easier in a home that has been designed to suit his caring needs.

Thomas brings joy into the hearts of everyone who meets him but he will never walk. As a wheelchair user we want him to have independent access to our home and be visible in the heart of his local community that we know and love.

Thanks to A.E.Yates landscaping our front garden to create a wheelchair ramp for Thomas, most of the major works are now finished, but there still a few things we still need help with.

Landscaping of our back garden with a wheelchair friendly fall surface and sunken trampoline to create a therapy area for Thomas.

Making our garage a little bit larger and watertight with a new roof as Thomas's bike and play equipment are getting mouldy.

A bespoke lift to get Thomas into the back garden and upstairs at a cost of £10,338. We are delighted that both the Provincial Walsh Trust and Cash for Kids have each agreed to pay £1,500 towards this item and that The Grand Order of the Lady Ratlings have agreed to fund the final £7,338 for this essential piece of equipment.
