Those of you that know me well will be very aware that running is not something that comes naturally to me...it is in fact something I spent a large proportion of PE lessons at school trying to avoid.

However, together with a group of fellow Civil Servants, I will be breaking a habit of a lifetime and participating in the Clapham Common 5k run on April 20 this year to raise money for Future First!

Future First are a great charity that helps state schools across the UK develop valuable alumni networks to inspire and mentor students, and show them just how much they can achieve.

I’m just about to start week 3 of training and I still have long way to go, but I’m determined to make it. Any sponsorship that you are able to give would be massively appreciated and will go to a very worthwhile cause.
