Two years ago I did my first Half Ironman for Maggies centres who were giving invaluable support to my mum who was fighting cancer. She ran along side me on that day but sadly on 13th July 2014 she lost her incredible fight for life. Five days later I signed up to the biggest challenge of my life to commemerate her own example of determination and tenacity. This is a very personal journey but the opportunity to raise funds for Strathcarron Hospice who supported her so compasionately in her final days is simply too compelling to pass by so please give generously and help make a real difference to someone else who's race is almost run!!
