Tim's Story
I love the London Underground and am fascinated by the Tube map! Last year I decided to try to be the youngest person to attempt the Tube Challenge, which means visiting all the 270 London Underground stations in 24 hours. I have spent a long time planning different routes and in the end submitted an application in January to Guinness World Records to be the youngest person to visit all the underground stations in 48 hours, as I thought I would need 2 days. Guinness contacted me last week to say that sadly it was not a record they could verify on age. However I still wanted to do the challenge so I thought I could do it and raise money for the earthquake victims in Nepal instead.
Please could you sponsor me? I am raising money for the earthquake victims in Nepal through one of the DEC charities, Tearfund.
Tearfund staff and partners trained in emergency response are already in Nepal following the first quake. The focus is on shelter, food and sanitation. Teams have been trekking over landslides and mountains to some of the remotest unreached communities.I am aiming to raise as much as I can - I have put my goal as £115 as this provides a month's food, shelter and essentials for a family.
