We help people with learning disabilities to have a stronger, louder voice in England

Story

Learning Disability England supports a future where everyone can enjoy the same rights and opportunities: inclusion, choice and independence.

In my primary school, dyslexia was not recognised as a condition.  My secondary school was the local centre for students with learning disabilities, but didn’t have the resources to give them the help and support they required.

Things are improving, but they still need to be better.  Learning Disability England are working to remove these barriers to success by providing people with the help and support they need to enjoy the opportunities afforded to the many.  Everyone should be able to fulfil their potential.

I will be running my first (and probably only) half marathon on the 14th of November and raising money for Learning Disability England.  Please support this charity if you can.

About the charity

Learning Disability England is a charity and membership organisation made up of people with learning disabilities, families, allies and organisations. Our work aims to change how society views people with learning disabilities and make sure people can live normal lives in their communities.
