Story

What?! Your thinking.  And that's why.  I realised that people expect me to have a drink, I'm the designated drinker.  People assume I want s drink even when I don't.

That realisation hit home, as that's not me, that's a image.

So what can I do about it? Go sober for s calinder month, and raise money and also awareness for a cause close to my heart.  That cause?

Retired Greyhounds.  8000 of these wonderful hounds are retired from racing every year, most aged 4 or less, no age for a dog that can live to 14 years quite happily..  what happens next?  It's not always a fairytale I'm afraid.   Many are simp,y abused, starved and ultimately killed because they don't serve there trainers needs any more.

Many of them don't even know they have a name.  Didn't know IRS legal to treat dogs like that?  It shouldn't be.  Many are killed by a bolt through the head, something Ricky Gervais is campaigning to ban.

It doesn't have to be that way though!  Greyhounds are some of the most loving, loyal rewarding digs on the planet, and deserve that shot at life, their chance at having a family to live with, get spoilt, their own sofa and walks.

All proceeds from my dry January will go directly to the R.G.O.A. This group specialise in regoming these loving hounds, my family have rehoused three from them.  They work tirelessly to make sure these hounds have a future they deserve.  Please give generously, and if you would like to see more about these dogs please visit the website for them: http://www.rgoa.org.uk/romford-greyhound-owners-association.asp?textpage=home

You never know, you might just want to visit them!
