Four members of the Heaton Norris health centre have decided to challenge ourselves and run the manchester relay marathon for prostate cancer. As a practice this has affected us all, and we hope to raise awareness of the condition and raise money for this brilliant charity. Personally it has had a big impact on my life. Ten years ago my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Having had surgery we all thought this was behind us. However he now has to undergo further treatment in the form of radiotherapy in the hope of beating this. If he can go through treatment with a smile on his face, I can sure as hell do a bit of running with my friends from work! We want to raise awareness for this great charity and any donations would be massively appreciated. This charity means something to all of us taking part, and any support will help us keep going on the day!
