Over the years I've taken part in numerous races for Path to Possibilities and so I am sad, even though it feels right, that  this will be the last one.

I am proud of the children that got a chance of a better future because people like you and I decided to stand up for them. 

I am proud that we were able to stop one girl'ls early marriage. Instead, she got 6 extra years of learning at a great secondary school - and a chance at being a child - not a wife or mum at 13

I am proud that we were able to rescue Paul from a delabritated home. Instead we put him in boarding school where he was nursed back from serious malnutrition and given a good education.

I am proud that we were able to support a widowed police woman with 5 children  by taking away some of her financial burden. Paying fir her daughter's education was a relief!  That woman's story was a flash back to my own personal story - my widowed mother  with 5 children,  in abject poverty - but for the grace of God and the help of ordinary people - who would I be. 

Path to Oosdibilities has touched lives and will touch more because although older and wiser we remain committed.

We started Race 4 Change  thinking and dreaming of growing it into an event hundreds and even thousands of supporters would take part in.  This hasn't happened but with the few that have participated, look at what we have been able to accomplish! To top it off last year  we established a Resource Centre  with a stocked library used everyday in a very deprived area, Ikota.  

Thank  you to everyone who has sponsored me over the years! You have made a difference to our children, to communities and to me. Your support is what has kept me going when I've wanted to give up on the charity, when I've cried in fustration, sulked, and wondered how apathy and disengagement can dig such ugly claws in too  many. It is your support that has been that light, that quiet affirmation that the world is mostly full of good people. Thank you!
