We bring health care and education to people living in poverty in Kenya

Story

Painful parasites which burrow under the nails of children’s hands and feet plague young people in the Kenyan village of Bodo. Children can be reduced to crawling on their elbows and knees.

I want to help them by supporting the mobile jiggers clinic run by the volunteer led charity The Funzi and Bodo Trust . Help me to help these children .

The money I raise will provide shoes and stop the jiggers which are hiding in the sand from getting into their feet. The monthly clinics which tour villages to treat children are reducing the amount of suffering and you can help me stop even more children from being in pain.

I am working towards my Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award. As part of that I want to raise money for this great charity and help children who don't have shoes to protect them from nasty parasites.

Doing a long walk seems a good way to raise this money. Every five pounds raised will buy one pair of shoes.
