Reading, researching, and asking questions has the power to change the way we see the world. Access to information and a passion for books are undoubtedly why I have a career as a journalist today.

That's why this National Library Week, I'm celebrating the ever-evolving role of the Boston Public Library (BPL) as an urban, public institution, and rallying our community to help us raise $100,000 in much-needed funding. As a dynamic place of learning, a space for community gathering, and a catalyst for democracy, our public library serves patrons of all ages and from all walks of life.

I'm thrilled to share that the Boston Public Library Fund has secured a private match donor, so **dollar-for-dollar** (up to $110,000) will be matched.
