We are STAR (Student Action for Refugees), University of Reading students who campaign, educate, fundraise and volunteer to help refugees and asylum seekers in the local area. 

THE NIGHT: Together4Refugees is a fundraising event focused on bringing the university together to raise money for a good cause.The event's lineup includes DJs, bands, solo artists, freestyle, stand-up comedy and more. Full lineup TBA. 

THE CAUSE: All donations are going to Student Action for Refugees the national charity. Reading STAR on campus, work towards equal access to higher education, campaigning for bursaries for people from refugee backgrounds, as often asylum seekers are not allowed to apply for student loans. Nationally we are campaigning for #FamiliesTogether an important bill that could make vital changes to the current rules and reunite refugee families. We aim to welcome refugees, nationally volunteering at 42 groups around the UK helping at English conversation groups, homework clubs for children and food and clothes donation points. 

PLEASE DONATE: The first 60 donations of at least £5 will include a ticket to the night out, but please donate as much as you comfortably can! Make sure you enter your name and amount when donating, so we can verify at the door. There will be limited tickets at the door!
