On September 21st I will attempt the swim to the Isle of Wight. After spending many years of my childhood in Christchurch, I have frequently stood on the Dorset coast and wondered whether I could dive in and swim over to the Needles. After much deliberation, I've decided to be sensible and take part in the expertly organised Ian Pratt Challenge, leaving from Ryde to Stokes bay, IOW. 

Ian Pratt and Tony Bray have started a great event, raising money for an exceptional cause -  the Motor Neurone Disease Association. I am helping the team reach their target of £20,000. I will be attempting the swim in memory of Jayne Campbell, who sadly passed away from the disease. Please give generously to this wonderful organisation.
