We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Hello

My name is Tom and I am 10 years old, I am doing the Colour Run in Brighton on the 10th October 2015 in memory of my Granddad.  He was my Granddad Wales and he made me feel special and was always fun to be with.  We loved talking about the war and his memories and going to see Wales play rugby in Cardiff.  I loved him dearly.

Unfortunately he died of Leukaemia on the 7th November 2014 but was very brave as he never complained or moaned about his illness.  I miss him everyday and want to do something to remember him by and for him to be proud of me.  I also want to raise some money for the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research charity so that other Granddad's and Grandma's can live longer and their grandchildren can continue to play with them.

The run is 5km's and is a colour run so I will have paint thrown at me during the run.  My aim is to try and run the whole distance without walking and I have started my training already.

Thank you for reading my page and for any contribution you can make, it all helps the charity and makes me feel proud that people also care about my Granddad Wales.

Thank you

Tom
