Story

On the 06/09 me and Jake Spedding are running the Great Cumbrian Run in aid of MENCAP Carlisle and in memory of my nephew Ben Plinston, who bravely passed away earlier this year.

MENCAP Carlisle helps fund the Hart Street Centre, which is a respite home based in our local town of Ulverston, which specifically cares for disabled children and young adults from the region. The centre is vital to our area as it gives much needed support and assistance to families, whilst also giving their amazing children, a safe environment where they can socialise and make friends, all backed by a dedicated and loving team.
Ben regularly attended the centre and it was instrumental in giving him confidence, new friends, whilst also giving our family support that we will always be eternally grateful for.

On a personal level the centre means a lot to both me and Jake and we're both very honoured to be running for them on the 6th of October and hope to raise as much money as we possibly can. If you can please help support this incredible centre with a donation, it would mean the world. Tom and Jake
