Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
It has been my lifelong dream to serve on the crew of the RNLI, but living in Worcestershire, Malawi and Beijing has made that a little tricky! Now that we have moved to beautiful Cornwall, I am honoured to have been accepted onto the Shore Crew of St. Agnes Lifeboat. 'Xkalibur' is a D class Inshore Life Boat (ILB), said to be the workhorse of the RNLI. St. Agnes is an unusual station because, at times, Shore Crew must commit to the water. This makes having the right gear essential. The cost of this Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is almost £2500! So, that's my target.
I have begun training for the 2019 Bawden Rocks Swim - a two mile open water swim from Bawden Rocks to Travaunance Cove. I will give regular blog updates of both my training for the event and, where appropriate, the RNLI. Please support me as I raise vital funds for the RNLI, the charity saving lives at sea!
