Lewy body dementia is the second most common cause of age-related dementia, affecting around 130,000 people in the UK. We raise awareness of the disease, provide information to patients and carers, and fund research so that in future it can be more easily diagnosed and treated.

*** OUR NEXT RUNNING EVENT: BRIGHTON HALF MARATHON - FEB 2017 ***

Ludgate Bros Tom & Sam recently completed the Reading Half Marathon 2016 and did the 13.1 mile course in a very swift 1 hour 54 mins and raising over £900 for the Lewy Body Society in memory of our Nan, Elizabeth Phelan.

We enjoyed the running event experience so much that we have decided to continue running various half marathon events and maybe even a FULL MARATHON one day. With the sole aim to continue raising much needed funds for a cause close to our hearts.

We know our Nan (who suffered with Lewy Bodies in her later years) would be extremely proud of us undertaking all these running challenges in her memory.

Dementia with Lewy Bodies, also known as Lewy Body disease, is the second most frequent cause of age-related neurodegenerative dementia.

Approximately 130,000 people in the UK are thought to suffer from this little known but not uncommon, devastating disease.
