great north run 2019 Mental Health foundation Thomas McGarry.

Simplyhealth Great North Run 2019 · 8 September 2019 ·
This year the Great North run falls on the exact date of the 6th anniversary of my mothers death on the 8th September 2013. The charity I have chosen to run for is the Mental health Foundation because I have suffered with mental health problems ever since her death, last year being my worst year yet. I also know so many people that struggle with different forms of mental health issues and this foundation supports more than just bereavement. The start of this year I have never been in a better place ,prior to the tragedy that left a whole in my family, and I believe with the right support or focus we can all learn how to cope. I am also running for the family of Charlie Stubley who will of passed away 3 years ago this year as I know the family have struggled through dark times. Not only that I am running for every single person who suffers with any mental health problems no matter how big or small we are all in it together. The Charity I am running for have set me a target of £350 which I have to raise to be eligible to run the event. It would mean the world to me to be able to run on this date so close to my heart.
