Story
Greetings fellows,
My name is Tom Santry and my name is Tony Purdy. We have decided that it would be a fab plan to throw ourselves out of a really high aeroplane with the hope to raise lots of monies for the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity. We have chosen to do this on Saturday 23rd October (dependant on weather conditions), so that if there are any problems with, say, the parachute we still have the Sunday to recover before returning to our weekly duties!
We are also taking part in a 5km run around Greenwich Park with everyone dressed as santa. With neither of us a keen runner, this could prove rather challenging for us!
AND for a further fundraising activity, we have volunteered to help plant daffodils for an event Helen Rollason are doing called 'bloomin spring'. This involves people donated for a number of daffodil's to be planted in memory of a loved one. So we shall be fashioning the gardening gloves for a day, planting away!
It is scary how at just 23 years or age, already many of our family, friends, family friends and friends families have been unfortunate enough to suffer from cancer so we would be proud to do our bit to raise money for the continuing and further improved support for cancer patients and hope for a future cure.
Helen Rollason Cancer Charity is a charity that provides support to cancer patients, as well as enabling patients to participate in pioneering clinical drugs trials. It is also involved in cancer research. They currently have 2 centres in Essex, 1 in London and 1 in Hertfordshire. For more information, visit www.helenrollason.org.uk
We have set our targets high, but hope that everyone including ourselves can do their bit for a very worthwhile cause. If you are not a great lover of online donations, feel free to contact either Tom or Tony for a paper donation form. All donations, little or large will be appreciated massively.
LOTS OF THANKS AND LOTS OF LOVE :) XXX
