The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Your support can help us to fund life-changing and potentially life-saving projects that will benefit cancer patients both now and in the future.

Story

Hi Guys,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As most of you will know, for over the past 12 months my Mum (Philomena) has been having treatment at The Christie cancer hospital, based in Manchester. Whilst the treatment has been going well it is clear that she will be requiring further treatment for at least the forseeable future, and therefore I feel it is about time that I did my bit to show my support and gratitude for the work that they have done so far.

The Christie is one of Europe’s leading cancer centres, treating over 40,000 patients a year and they really do make a difference, with everything from radiotherapy and chemotherapy to ground breaking research into cancer treatment.

On the 11th April 2010, James Harrision (Jammy to those that know him) and myself will running the Blackpool half marathon (Ok, not the most famous, but 13 miles nevertheless) for The Christie charity, which is obviously very close to my heart, and therefore I would greatly appriciate your sponsorship.

Remember they make a little amount go a long, long way, so I would be thankful for any amount that you can spare.
