Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page.
This page is dedicated to the memory of Mike James who died on the 6th February 2011 aged 67 years. RIP Mr James.
Mike James joined Ordsall Hall in 1979 as Headteacher and retired after 19 years service at the school.
During those 19 years his focus was always on how he could encourage, guide and develop young minds and ensure that each and every student reached their full potential. Not only did he focus on idividuals, but on families and on the community as a whole.
Mr James was an enigmatic and passionate teacher, both in the classroom and in the Headteacher's office.
Personally he was a kind and gentle man, always ready to listen to problems and help in any way possible. His door was always open and the coffee pot was always on!
The funeral has taken place with only family and close friends in attendance. We respect the family's wishes that no direct contact is made with them but we feel it appropriate that former students, families and colleagues be allowed to leave their own tributes and record their memories on here, whilst showing their appreciation by making a small donation to the charity that Mr James supported.
