Story
About 6 months ago I decided to see if I could run 10k... For no real reason... So I set off running and discovered that I could do it. After my first run I decided to do a 'proper' run for a really special Charity.
Over the years I've been to loads of charity events - things like lunches and dinners with auctions, and local fundraising events but I've never actually DONE anything myself - until this year when I registered for the Great Manchester 10k Run.
After a lot of research I found the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
The Forget Me Not Children's Hospice provides care and support for children with life-limiting and life threatening conditions across Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield in West Yorkshire. The Hospice provides all of these services 365 days per year, completely free of charge to everyone. Forget Me Not helps brave, poorly children and it helps brave Mummys, Daddys, Brothers and Sisters to enjoy their little angels, for as long as they can be together...
Now I've decided to DO something for these guys I really appreciate how important the 'digging deep' and 'donating' side of charity is... And thats where you come in!
I don't really have a 'target' but I'd love to raise as much as I can for these kids and their families, scraping even pennies if needs be...
Please HELP ME by visiting my JustGiving page and making a donation - anything you can? http://www.justgiving.com/Tony-Goldstein
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
I have the easy task of just running - I really need your help to make my first ever 10k charity run make a difference to the Forget Me Not Childrens Hospice... Thanks for reading... Thanks for helping me to help them...
