Tony was born with only the one kidney, therefore, sadly when he was diagnosed with early kidney disease, there was no alternative but to go on dialysis.  This was successful for over five years, and Tony managed his treatment well.  This was only possible with thanks to the NHS renal unit, whom gave him excellent care.
